Saturday evening at 4:55 in our H1 in Houston Texas data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.

This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 10.000 websites, including our main Customer Service and Customer Center portals. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock.

What’s more, even your reseller can create reseller accounts if you permit him to do this. You are able to set the limits on these.

A SAMPLE:
Carl subscribes to a sub-reseller enabled cPanel “Reseller Hosting Plan #1″ that comes with 10,000 MB of space and 150 Gig of bandwidth. Carl decides to offer these three types of cPanel reseller accounts:
• Reseller Plan A: 1000 MB, 15 Gig bandwidth, up to 10 domains: whatever pricing
• Reseller Plan B: 2000 MB, 30 Gig bandwidth, up to 50 domains: whatever pricing

It is going down for a reboot.
This will affect all domains on this server and HELM2 panel.
It will take about 10 minutes.

Windows Mail Server:
You may have experienced some problems with the emails in the past 3 hours.
You were asked for a user and password even the login details were correct.
Seems that some files were corrupted, due to the large traffic on this server.
We are taking the mail server down for 20-30 minutes to repair this issues.
